Engr. Sobhi Batterjee was awarded the Healthcare CEO of the Year at CEO Middle East Awards
CEO Middle East Awards announced Engr. Sobhi Batterjee Chairman – Middle East Healthcare Company - Saudi German Hospitals, as Healthcare CEO of the year 2016 for the outstanding Contribution of an Individual to the Middle East Healthcare Industry
Engr. Batterjee thanked the CEO Middle East Magazine for organizing such events which serves as an inspiration to the regional entrepreneurs. He said that he dedicates this award to the Arab community and noted that this was possible with the dedication of over 6000 professional staff of the group. He also added that this award further increases the commitment of the Group to continue its efforts to benefit of the community by providing quality healthcare services through innovative business models.
The organizers briefed, that the recipients for CEO Middle East Awards are selected through a stringent process to recognize the most successful and promising CEOs in the Middle East. The Healthcare CEO award to Engr. Batterjee is for his contribution and success in establishing and positioning the organization as a Healthcare center of excellence in the region, which is well recognized even beyond the region.
Under Engr. Batterjee’s leadership, MEAHCO was established as a leading healthcare company in the Middle East with a wide geographical footprint. The first SGH hospital was established in Jeddah in 1988.
Currently MEAHCO owns four tertiary care hospitals in the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia under the brand name Saudi German Hospital, in Jeddah, Aseer, Riyadh and Madinah. MEAHCO also provides management supervision services to other SGH hospitals owned by Bait Al Batterjee Company (BAB) in Dubai, Cairo and Sanaa. Construction of MEAHCO’s new hospital in Hail is almost completed. Preparations are also underway to commence the construction of SGH Hospital in Dammam.

The Opening of the Hospital was honored by his excellence prince Sultan Bin Abdul Aziz Al Saud. The hospital occupied a tourist and strategic site in the south Region of Saudi Arabia.
